speed reading?

I am learning to speed read but my biggest problem is that i “sub-vocalize”? i think thats the right word… i say the words in my head when i read… how do i stop that? websites techniques?

What is the average speed for reading aloud? not silent reading.

Is there a legitimate program out there that teaches an individual how to super read and comprehend at the same time? (speed reading). I’m looking for a program that could teach an individual the techniques of reading 3,000 words or more per minute. Any suggestions?

What speed reading software out there works the quikest, but is affordable?

I was looking for software that will help me become able to speed read, but there are so many choices, and I am unable to determine which is best. I want affordable software ($250 Maximum, Ideally $100 to $80) but, it works fairly quick.
Just to add, I am currently a student in middle school, if age is a serious factor.

What does it mean if my speedometer is reading a speed that’s not accurate?

Ok so I drive a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. My girlfriend was driving today and she said that the speedometer is reading off numbers that aren’t accurate. She said she was going about 5 MPH and the speedometer was reading 80. I am trying to figure out why is it doing this?

What is the average person’s reading speed? How many words per minute?

I’m curious as to what the average person’s speed is when reading words. Or, how many words a minute does the average person read?
I’m wondering because I read through “New Moon” today, and it took me a little less than 4 hours from beginning to end. Is that slow or fast?
The book was okay. It could have been better. Kind of dragged on in certain parts.
How long does it take you to finish a book of similar length?
Also, please cite external sources if possible.

ans in most instances i can read pretty fast,
but how can you train yourself to speed read,like those record breaking folk do?
